Omar Kamata

Omar Kamata is an Italian Argentinian baritone, a sensitive and versatile performer.
A graduate of the Vicenza Conservatory, he has been a winner and finalist in numerous international opera competitions, including the prestigious Toti Dal Monte and Franco Alfano competitions.
He has distinguished himself as a leading artist in a wide repertoire that includes and Carmen, L’elisir d’amore, The Merry Widow, I Pagliacci, Cavalleria rusticana, Così fan tutte, Don Giovanni, Carmina Burana, La Bohème, Gianni Schicchi, Madama Butterfly, Tosca, Turandot, Il barbiere di Siviglia, L’italiana in Algeri, Il viaggio a Reims, Aida, Falstaff, Nabucco, Otello, Rigoletto, La Traviata, Il Trovatore and many others.
He has also been involved in the premieres and modern revivals of operas such as L’Inimico delle Donne by G. Galuppi and El Greco by G. Hatzinasios.
He has performed in some of the world’s most prestigious opera houses and festivals, including the Arena di Verona, Grosses Festspielhaus in Salzburg, the Aspendos International Opera and Ballet Festival, the Greek National Opera, the Epidaurus Festival, the Seoul Arts Center, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, and Karuizawa Ohga Hall in Japan.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with renowned conductors such as Plácido Domingo, Daniel Oren, and Julian Kovatchev.
In terms of stage direction, he has worked with masters such as Hugo de Ana, Davide Livermore, and Franco Zeffirelli.
In 2023, Omar embarked on an impressive world tour, performing as a solo baritone and accordionist across more than 30 countries.
His artistic journey reflects a sincere dedication to sharing opera’s universal beauty.
