Biography

Lada Kyssy is a soprano with a voice full of many colours and nuances, with an international career spanning opera houses across Europe, Latin America, and Central Asia. Winner of various international competitions including: Riccardo Zandonai (Riva del Garda, Italy), Marie Kraja (Tirana, Albania), Toti dal Monte (Treviso, Italy), Special Prize of the Teatro São Paulo (São Paulo, Brazil), Special Prize of the Tiroler Festspiele Erl (Erl, Austria), Bibigul Tulegenova Competition (Astana, Kazakhstan). Her repertoire encompasses leading Verdi, Puccini, verismo, and Slavic opera roles: Turandot, Tosca, Amelia (Un ballo in maschera), Elisabetta (Don Carlo), Leonora (Il trovatore), Adriana Lecouvreur, Katerina Izmailova, Rusalka, Santuzza.

A graduate of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory and the Accademia Renata Tebaldi e Mario del Monaco (Pesaro), Lada was a soloist at the Abay State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre in Almaty for ten years, performing the lyric and lyric coloratura repertoire. Her professional development was guided by masterclasses with Mirella Freni, Renata Scotto, Raina Kabaivanska, Mietta Sighele, Alberto Zedda, William Matteuzzi, Giulio Zappa, Krassimira Stoyanova, and Michela Sburlati. Her work at the Tiroler Festspiele Erl was a milestone in her transition to the dramatic repertoire. She has appeared at: Palacio de Bellas Artes (Mexico City), Teatro Metropolitano (Medellín, Colombia), Oper Köln (Germany), Oldenburgisches Staatstheater (Germany), Theater Tiroler Festspiele Erl (Austria), and Opernfestspiele Festival Heidenheim (Germany). Lada Kyssy has collaborated with conductors Gustav Kuhn, Marcus Bosch, Paolo Carignani, Hubert Soudant, Hendrik Vestmann, Vito Cristofaro, Vito Lo Re, Eduardo Diaz, Migran Agadzhanyan, Fuat Mansurov, and Renat Salavatov.

Lada has lived in Italy for over ten years, in the Lazio region near Rome. She speaks Italian and German, Russian, and English fluently.
